About
About My Approach
I work towards a liberatory approach to healing. This means that I believe the things which cause us distress often start not within ourselves, but with how the social and political world operates around us. The way forward is just as much about drawing on our shared resourcefulness and power, to cope with and transform our environments, as it is about finding new ways to exist within ourselves.
As a mental health counselor, I navigate within the tension that the mental health system can sometimes be a site of oppression, while it can also help us on our journeys of liberation.
As queers and trans', we come from vibrant lineages of resistance, mutual-aid, and collective power. I ground my work in these lineages and in the belief that it's our shared responsibility to carry forward these life-giving currents, making and remaking the world into one in which we desire to live.
My Experience
I’ve been a therapist for 9 years, with experience across a range of settings:
Therapist in private practice working with queer teens and adults
Therapist in a K-8 public school health clinic
Counselor on a crisis hotline and in a psychiatric emergency department
Counselor for kids, teens, and adults in residential mental health programs
Facilitator of arts-based groups for youth in transitional housing programs
Outdoor program leader for teens in a wilderness therapy program

I'm a nonbinary, trans fem Jew, and a Pisces. I grew up by the ocean and feel most at home by the shore. I enjoy making textile art, dancing at raves, doing deep-dive research with library books, and playing with my puppy, Zelda.

Who I Work With
My practice is currently focused around supporting trans fem teens (13-18) and emergent adults (18-25)—including trans girls and women, nonbinary trans fems, and anyone exploring trans femininity, no matter where you are in your journey or whether you’re out or not.
I enjoy working with young people who are seeking accompaniment in their self-exploration and desire to be active participants in the therapy process.
When working with teens, I encourage family involvement as a valuable and often necessary part of the process—but the needs, privacy, and autonomy of the young person, as my client, always comes first.
How I Work
I work to create a protected space where we can take our time to understand where you’re coming from and what you’ve been through. Together, we’ll approach the challenges you’re navigating with curiosity and creativity, drawing on the tools you already have and discovering new ones along the way. I believe we feel better when we feel seen and understood, when we have the resources we need, and when we connect with our power to create the changes we want.
Areas of Support
I have experience supporting people through a wide range of challenges and needs, including anxiety, social anxiety, and panic, isolation, depression, grief and loss, chronic illness, gender and sexual identity, gender transition, neurodivergence, autism, and ADHD.
Guiding Values
I use an integrative relational approach to therapy. The following values shape how I show up in the therapy space. They guide our work together toward connection, healing, and liberation:
Mindfulness-Oriented – Slowing down and learning to pay attention in new ways, so you can meet familiar experiences with fresh eyes and new possibilities.
Somatically-Anchored – Tuning in to the wisdom of your body through breath, awareness, and movement to access new dimensions of awareness and resource.
Emotionally-Focused – Making space for your full emotional experience—including the tender, scary, complicated, and magical parts—without judgment.
Attachment-Informed – Exploring how your relationships shape you, and how you can build the kinds of connection, care, and boundaries that you deserve.
Social Justice-Oriented – Naming how power, oppression, and identity impact your life and wellbeing—and holding those truths as central to our work.
Whole-Person Centered – Honoring your wholeness, even when you're feeling fragmented. You are never just your struggles—you are complex, creative, and always held within larger frames of interconnection.
